God always keeps His promises!   Here are two of them:  One day there will be people “from every tribe and language and people and nation” worshiping the Lord before His eternal throne (Rev.  5:9). The gospel will be proclaimed to all nations before Jesus returns (Matt.  24:14).

There are approximately 6,500 unreached people groups in the world today.  That may seem like an insurmountable number to reach, but not when one considers how many evangelical churches there are in the United States alone.  If we committed ourselves to reaching the unreached, the task would be accomplished far faster than any of us could imagine.  The reality is that we are not committed to this goal.  Christians spend only 5.4% of our revenue on foreign missions, and less than 1% of that amount is targeted on unreached people groups.  This means that more than 99% of all mission giving is spent among peoples who have already been reached!

Consider this:  If you carry a candle into a well-lit room, the candle will add light, but it will not make much difference.  Carry that same candle into a darkened room, though, and it will have a significant impact.  This illustration explains the motivation behind our desire to serve with To Every Tribe.  We want to spend the rest of our lives making the maximum impact for the kingdom.

Our titles and responsibilities include:  Ron – Executive Director of To Every Tribe: organizational leadership, teaching students, and leading chapel services;  Margie – Director of Communications and Member Care: teaching classes to the women of the CPCP.  In addition, we have had the opportunity to accompany students on trips into Mexico and Papua New Guinea (Ron).
